In the evening of Nov. 18, 2022, Henan Genuine Biotech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company" or "Genuine Biotech") found that Shenzhen Nepstar Pharmacy retailed our drug Azvudine tablets online. Our company paid great attention to this unexpected situation and immediately arranged specialized personnel to investigate. We hereby certify that:

This is an individual case of Nepstar Pharmacy, intended to meet the needs of some travelers to and from Hong Kong and exiting the territory in Shenzhen. The Azvudine tablets sold by Nepstar online are actually our anti-HIV-1 drugs.

The drugs were legally purchased by Shenzhen Nepstar Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. through Sinopharm Medicine Holding Guangzhou Co., Ltd., the official distributor of Azvudine, and the quantity purchased was 10 bottles.

We have communicated with Nepstar about the situation and asked them to take it off the shelves immediately. At present, Nepstar has already removed the drugs from the online shelves.      

According to the national prevention and control policy, the COVID-19 is managed as category B disease under category A protocols for centralized treatment. We will strictly comply with the requirements of the national prevention and control policy, and make sure the production and supply of Azvudine tablets for COVID-19 under the coordination of the ministries and commissions.
