Attention! Henan Modern Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute Established in Genuine Biotech

On Oct. 16, the inauguration ceremony for the first batch of provincial industrial research institutes and pilot bases in Henan Province was held in Zhengzhou. The ceremony was held for 10 provincial industrial research institutes and 8 provincial pilot bases, among which the Henan Modern Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute was officially established in Genuine Biotech.

This is an important initiative of Henan Province to vigorously implement the innovation-driven strategy, to exert the role of enterprise innovation, and to handle the "last kilometer" problem of industrial transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Industrial research institute is a key part of the innovation chain. If the laboratory is to complete the original breakthrough of "0 to 1", the industrial research institute is to complete the innovation succession and to realize "from 1 to 10 to 100" by connecting "industry-academia-research-use", so as to commercialize and industrialize the innovation results.

Henan Modern Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute is officially established in Genuine Biotech. On the one hand, this represents the government's recognition of the independent innovation strength and R&D capability of Genuine Biotech. We aim at building the industrial research institute into an innovative association that integrates R&D, pilot production, industrialization and engineering by means of connecting entities of "industry-academia-research-use", promoting the transformation of achievements and building the key parts of the innovation chain, to combine scientific research and industry more closely, and to explore the diversified formation mode with the deep integration of the innovation chain and the industry chain. We will fully stimulate the vitality of innovation and creativity, form a demonstration effect of industrial innovation, and promote regional economic transformation and upgrading.

It is reported that the first 10 industrial research institutes cover next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, biomedicine, new energy, new materials and other fields, reflecting the determination and confidence of Henan to cultivate and grow emerging industries and plan the layout of future industries. According to the preliminary construction target, the first 10 industrial research institutes established this year in Henan Province for the dominant industrial fields will rapidly form the demonstration effect of industrial innovation. In 2022, another 10 to 15 industrial research institutes will be planned and built for strategic emerging industries and future industries. By the end of 2025, a total of 50 industrial research institutes will be established in the province to form a fairly complete industrial innovation system.
